Players Bio's Who Played On What?

Charlie DeChant ~ I've known Charlie since I was a teenager. I met him at a Coconut Grove jam session. I followed his career from a distance, only because we were both in bands that were signed to a label and we often found our self busy, I recruited Charlie to play on several projects including the Year One Album. (See links below) In the 70's Charlie became busy in a big way. He teamed up with the Hall & Oates band and it wasn't long before the hits were rolling in. His tenure with Hall & Oates is on going and it took a pandemic to slow them down. In 2010 we renewed our musical connection .We cut some 20 tracks and I have been having a ball ever since Our latest collection of songs owe much to Charlie ,his sax, harp & flute work are tremendous. His playing speaks for itself & his prescence on these & future tracks nourish & inspire our musical dreams and delusions.

Kenny Kosicki was the electric bassist for the International Christian Embassy of Jerusalem for 20 years. He also has performed & toured with many artists, including Peter Tork of the Monkees, Elliot Randall of Steely Dan, Dion, Peter Noone of the Herman’s Hermit’s, Wild Cherry, Carmine Appice, Teri DeSario, Mickey Thomas (Starship), Tavares, Natalie Cole, Lucky Peterson, Tommy Roe & the Chiffons to name of a few. Kenny played bass for First Baptist Church of Fort Lauderdale under the direction of John Jones. He also played bass for Calvary Chapel worship services for 10 years. Kenny played bass for the Florida Atlantic University Pro Big Band under the direction of Dr. Tim Walters. The name of the band is the "Jazz Rats". He is currently living in Westbrook, Connecticut. He enjoys biking, hiking, a good cup of coffee while installing software on computers. He is a total nerd and loves to talk software with anyone who will listen.

Steve Argy, began his professional career in South Florida in 1970 and he has been on the scene there ever since. During the eighties he toured and recorded with K.C & the Sunshine Band, soul singer Jimmy "Bo" Horne and recorded with reggae star Dennis Brown and country stars The Bellamy Brothers. The nineties found him playing Europe with British rocker Roy Young before becoming bassist for Clarence Clemons' Temple of Soul. He toured and recorded with Clarence Clemons from 1999 until Clarence's passing in 2011. In 2003 Steve began playing with"Serving Up the Rock" / "Diamond Angels" playing with assorted celebrities such as, Mickey Thomas from Jefferson Starship, Mark Farner from Grand Funk and Gerry Beckley from America. In 2008 Steve played with Vanilla Fudge, including PBS show "The 60's My Generation".

Alissa Roberts started out singing as a kid with my pretend microphone and a favorite record at top volume. My big brother and sister introduced me to all the music of the era and I fell right in with it all. After graduating from nursing school I joined a local Rock N Roll band working out my Karma as a lead singer. I did that for several years before changing directions to become a Worship Leader in a Pentecostal Church for about 10 years. I met Greg Kimple many light years after the Church gig and have enjoyed every minute of working with he and all the wonderful musicians that add their amazing, unique and skilled talents to Greg's songs. To say I feel privileged and honored to be a small part of such a stellar group of musicians and people is an understatement. It's a joyride for sure. I am so grateful for the gift of song and for my Saturday's singing at American Sound Studio.

John Marcus ~ I knew I wanted to play music for a living when I saw the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan show in 1964. Began playing guitar in elementary school. My love affair with bass started at age 14. Played R&R for a few years with Miami based band Fantasy. Joined Hotgrass band Heartbreak Mountain in 1980. Moved to Nashville in early ‘84. Wound up touring with Tanya Tucker, The Remingtons, David Frizzell and was a Dancehall Doctor with Tim McGraw for 21 years. These days I’m doing sessions and playing with local area bands. Bass players of the world, Unite!
